Job description

You would be responsible for:

A. Supporting Gender & Youth Programme team 

  • Assist with logistical arrangements for meetings, missions, workshops and events, including procurement of standard supplies and logistical coordination.
  • Assist with collection of supporting documents for payments.

B. Research and Knowledge Management Sharing Support

  • Assist in the archiving, filing and maintenance of up-to-date electronic mailing lists on Gender & Youth programme matters.
  • Record and distribute Gender & Youth programme meeting minutes in a timely manner and assist the Gender & Social Norms Specialist by following up on agreed actions and implementation of tasks, where appropriate.
  • Provide administrative support in compiling information for progress reports.

C. General Support 

Carry out any other duties as may be required by UNFPA management.
Qualifications and Experience: 

Education:  

Completed Secondary Level Education required.

Additional training or certification in administration or office management is an asset.

Knowledge and Experience: 

Four years of relevant experience in project/programme support in private, national and/or international organizations including some experience in research assistance.

Previous experience in the UN system is an advantage.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Computer literacy – Word, Excel, Power-point, etc.

Good knowledge of ERP systems is an asset.

Good writing and communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Experience in disability inclusive and gender transformative programming is an asset.

Languages: 

Fluency in oral and written English. Working knowledge of another UN Official Language, an asset.
