To monitor and evaluate the implementation of Universal Access and Service Funded programs and projects and those funded under ZICTA to ensure objectives are met and intended outcomes and impacts are realized within the available resource envelope.
2.0 SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Participate in baseline studies to define targets for project interventions;
ii. Arrange project meetings with internal and external stakeholders;
iii. Tracks project performance and contract performance in line with set project objectives and contracts requirements;
iv. Maintains day-to-day filling (soft and hard copies) of each project and each contract;
v. Participate in project appraisal, inspections, supervision and reporting on project progress;
vi. Communicates monitoring and evaluation findings to Senior Project Officer Monitoring and Evaluation and suggest possible recommendations; and
vii. Files all projects’ documents; Project Charters, Projects Contracts, and Project Correspondences.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES
a) General Education:
Full School Certificate or its equivalent.
b) Academic/Professional Qualifications
i. Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Social Sciences, Planning, or equivalent qualification.
ii. Membership to a relevant professional body with valid practicing certificate.
c) Work Experience
Three (3) years of relevant working experience in a project environment.
d) Core Competencies
i. Ability to interact tactfully with individuals inside and outside the department.
ii. Responsible for drafting routine reports and documents.
iii. Able to analyze simple, well-defined data or information.
iv. Accuracy in using basic formulas and handling numbers.
v. Make decisions related to own tasks with established procedures.
vi. Follow set guidelines to make decisions.
vii. Operate simple tools and instruments (e.g., switches, screwdrivers, calculators).
