Overall, the successful applicant will:
-Be responsible for managing financial transitions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and analyzing financial data related to business operations.
-Provide support to the business unit by applying accounting principles in monitoring, analyzing and interpreting financial data, maintaining and auditing financial transactions, and providing accurate accounting information pertaining to reserves, assets and expenditures to the business unit to support business decisions.

You will be an ideal candidate if you possess the following minimum Qualifications:
-Matric
-Bachelor in Commerce

You will have access to:

-Execute relevant projects and initiatives in line with strategic objectives.
-Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate.
-Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships that enable achievement of operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
-Financial Reporting & Analysis
-Financial Statements analysis, this includes profit and loss statements and financial position statements.

-Monitor financial performance related to cost against budgets.
-Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to improve financial decision-making.
-Adhere to financial reporting guidelines set out by First Rand.
-Provide sound services and recommendations based on customer and client needs, current information and trends.

Accounts Payable and Receivables
-Maintain accurate records for all financial transactions of the business unit.
-Ensures timely invoice & payment processing to retailers and vendors and accurate recording of such.

Approve payments and review reconciliations.
-Financial Systems & Process Improvement:
-Provide accounting information to support business performance.
-Develop and nurture internal relationships within business enabling collaboration to enhance automation in financial processes.
-Recommend improvements to financial procedures for efficiency & accuracy.

Risk Management & Fraud Prevention
-Increase operational efficiency and suggest solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and prevent wastage.
-Support internal risk assessments and policy updates.
-Work with compliance teams to monitor suspicious transactions & fraud indicators.
