  • Ensure and maintain a healthy, Safe, Secure and Cost effective operation for Kenya Airways and customer airlines operations, in compliance with the relevant industry regulatory and legislative requirements, company procedures, and regulatory authorities.
  • Plan efficient and economical staff & equipment utilization that meets network plans and stakeholders requirements
  • Operations Control Centre

Detailed Description        

  • Plan medium and long term availability of ground ops staff in collaboration with line managers to ensure adequate and sufficient numbers are available to cover all flights and  optimize staff utilization.
  • Plan for medium and long term requirement of equipment’s to ensure adequate and sufficient numbers are available to cover all flights.
  • Plan for leave as per staff leave to achieve 100% achievement; 2% carryover of leave into the next financial year.
  • Plan for training for staff and ensure 100% validity on conformance for both mandatory and functional training.
  • Publish 28 day rosters, 2 weeks before start of the cycle.
  • Identify possible manpower gaps and propose solutions to mitigate expected risk.
  • Liaise with third party suppliers and establish operational requirements and supply according to flight program.
  • Prepare and analyze periodic performance reports (i.e. Training, leave) for ground services decision making.
  • Embrace and maintain a positive safety culture, a healthy and secure working environment in compliance with company procedures, regulatory authorities and requirements of customer airlines.
  • Adhere to KQ WAY principles and best practices.

Job Requirements        

Qualification (Minimum) 

  • University graduate or Higher Diploma with 6 Years’ experience in ground operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of support/IT-systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated.
