Qualifications, experience and attributes
Must have at least a BSc or HND in soil science, land surveying or related field.
Responsibilities
To conduct land, soil and pedological surveys using proper techniques, including use of GIS
and remote sensing tools.
To conduct land surveying and subsequent analyses for establishment of soil and water
conservation structures.
To Collect samples from variety of sources (eg water, soil, air, plants) including utilizing
proper sampling collection and handling techniques.
To perform accurate and precise analyses of samples.
Operate, maintain and calibrate analytical instruments and equipment.
Use computer, spread sheets and data management systems for recordkeeping, reporting
and data analyses.
To keep accurate and legible records.
To prepare and supervise students practical’s.
