Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
 Applicants should have at least a Master of Science degree in, Applied Biological
Sciences, Biochemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and a foundation degree in related
biological sciences.
 Five Ordinary Level passes including Mathematics and English Language.
 A minimum of five years working experience in a research laboratory is essential.
 Be highly self-motivated.
 The successful candidate will be required to run the Animal Welfare Laboratory in the
Department of Preclinical Veterinary Studies.
Responsibilities
 Smooth running of the technical and practical aspects of the department for Research
and Development, industrialization, teaching and learning activities.
 Ensures adequate supply of consumables to all the disciplines department, namely,
Biochemistry, Physiology, Gross Anatomy, Histology & Embryology as well as Animal
Handling and Welfare.
 The planning, procurement, storage, security and stock control will be carried out in close
liaison with the Senior Technicians of each discipline.
 The roles of the Chief Technicians include overseeing the community outreach programs
of the department.
