Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
Applicants should have at least a Master of Science degree in, Applied Biological
Sciences, Biochemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and a foundation degree in related
biological sciences.
Five Ordinary Level passes including Mathematics and English Language.
A minimum of five years working experience in a research laboratory is essential.
Be highly self-motivated.
The successful candidate will be required to run the Animal Welfare Laboratory in the
Department of Preclinical Veterinary Studies.
Responsibilities
Smooth running of the technical and practical aspects of the department for Research
and Development, industrialization, teaching and learning activities.
Ensures adequate supply of consumables to all the disciplines department, namely,
Biochemistry, Physiology, Gross Anatomy, Histology & Embryology as well as Animal
Handling and Welfare.
The planning, procurement, storage, security and stock control will be carried out in close
liaison with the Senior Technicians of each discipline.
The roles of the Chief Technicians include overseeing the community outreach programs
of the department.
