 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Coordinate the definition of the action plan for the deployment of the supply chain transformational roadmap related to Supply Mutualization.
  • Based on the mutualization framework agreed by the 6 OCs, formulate a detailed implementation action plan, in collaboration with the SCTC, the operational departments, cells and missions across the OCs.
  • Identify risks and mitigation measures and contribute to the definition of the governance for implementation of the action plan: stakeholders to engage, decision making processes, etc.
  • Define, monitor and analyse the key indicators to follow up the action plan as well as the results. Identify improvement areas and capitalize on them.

2. Ensure that the activities for implementing supply mutualization respond to the needs of MSF entities and are in line with the strategic objectives set by the transformational roadmap.

  • Together with your team, establish the right channels of communication and processes to assess the needs from the different OCs in a specific country.
  • Coordinate the discussions on mutualization country by country to agree on the scope of the mutualization and engage with stakeholders at different levels to ensure the pertinence of the action plan.
  • Provide technical input to support mutualization initiatives: formalization of mutualization agreements, fulfilling of technical land organizational requirements, etc.
  • Translate supply chain mutualization frameworks into concrete tools: standard of mission mutualization agreements, tools to fulfil technical/organizational requirements to mutualize, etc.
  • Conduct field visits for assessment or follow up of mutualization process.

3. Foster collaboration between your team, the other teams working in supply mutualization and the stakeholders working in the different entities.

  • Know the main actors and key stakeholders for your activity. Develop and mobilise a network required to smoothly carry out the activities under your responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain a smooth flow of communication and feedback on the mutualization of supply activities to keep your stakeholders up to date and capture their feedback and areas of improvement.
  • Coordinate all actors involved in mutualization of supply activities and ensure alignment between their activities.

4. Lead the IO team working on supply mutualization and ensure coherence between the different activities managed by them.

  • Participate to the construction of the budget necessary for the running of the activities under your responsibility. Plan the HR needed in terms of number and profile (profession, experience, complementarity with other team members) in order to achieve a team composition adapted to the needs of your activities.
  • Participate on the selection and onboarding process of your team and set the working framework for them. Accompany each member of your team in order to improve their contribution to the common objectives and promote their professional development.
  • Put forward the work stakes of your team to the other teams in the IO supply team and the different MSF entities.
  • Manage and monitor the resources allocated to the activities under your responsibility.

Job requirements

Practical / technical knowledge

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in supply chain management or other relevant field (e.g. Pharmacy, Engineering or Business).
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in management of supply chain related projects/programs in complex organizational contexts, including planning, risk management, cost control and change management.
  • Extensive experience in field coordination and senior operations/supply chain management
  • Experience with MSF or another humanitarian organization is mandatory .
  • Certification or knowledge of project management methodologies and tools is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple priorities at one time.

  • Demonstrate independent initiative, drive for change, improvement and innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills, assertiveness, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural and cross-functional environment.
  • Team player with strong customer orientation.

Practical requirements

  • Proficiency in standard office tools including Word and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent spoken and written English. Good command of French is a strong asset.
