The successful candidate will play a critical role in the timely aggregation and consolidation of financial information for the group and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information. They will also provide in-depth analysis and produce insightful information for management’s use.
Are you someone who can:
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation processes, ensuring all financial data is timeously aggregated, accurately compiled and reported.
- Have In-depth involvement in the annual budget and monthly forecasting process including the consolidation and analysis thereof.
- Pro-actively engage with Franchise accountants prior to the submission deadline to obtain relevant information regarding the current month’s transactions, deal with complex transactions, queries, issues and errors.
- Develop and maintain consolidation and reporting procedures to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and group policies.
- Prepare the results booklet for interim and year-end.
- Analyse financial results, identify trends, and provide insightful commentary to senior management.
- Coordinate with various departments and subsidiaries to gather financial information and ensure consistency in reporting.
- Assist in the preparation/review of management reports, board presentations, and other ad hoc financial analyses.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls related to financial reporting and to update the group finance internal control documents.
- Be the records management custodian for the group reporting team ensuring compliance to group policies.
- Support the external audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
You will be an ideal candidate if you:
- CA(SA) or equivalent
- Have 1 – 3 Years working experience
- Have prior banking experience / Financial Services Audit preferable.
- Have experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Have advanced experience in the use of Microsoft Excel and Pivots.
