Job description

The successful candidate will play a critical role in the timely aggregation and consolidation of financial information for the group and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information. They will also provide in-depth analysis and produce insightful information for management’s use.

Are you someone who can:

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation processes, ensuring all financial data is timeously aggregated, accurately compiled and reported.
  • Have In-depth involvement in the annual budget and monthly forecasting process including the consolidation and analysis thereof.
  • Pro-actively engage with Franchise accountants prior to the submission deadline to obtain relevant information regarding the current month’s transactions, deal with complex transactions, queries, issues and errors.
  • Develop and maintain consolidation and reporting procedures to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and group policies.
  • Prepare the results booklet for interim and year-end.
  • Analyse financial results, identify trends, and provide insightful commentary to senior management.
  • Coordinate with various departments and subsidiaries to gather financial information and ensure consistency in reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation/review of management reports, board presentations, and other ad hoc financial analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls related to financial reporting and to update the group finance internal control documents.
  • Be the records management custodian for the group reporting team ensuring compliance to group policies.
  • Support the external audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

  • CA(SA) or equivalent
  • Have 1 – 3 Years working experience
  • Have prior banking experience / Financial Services Audit preferable.
  • Have experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Have advanced experience in the use of Microsoft Excel and Pivots.
