young learners with a future-ready curriculum, equipping them with the skills to confidently navigate
and shape the digital world.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

REPORTS TO: VICE-PRINCIPAL, JUNIOR SCHOOL
Curriculum Development:
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the ICT curriculum in line with
the national curriculum and school policies.
Stay updated on current trends in ICT education and incorporate new tools and methodologies
into lessons.
Support the integration of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) initiatives
in the classroom.
Classroom Management:
Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal
growth.
Promote responsible use of technology and online safety in line with safeguarding policies.
Collaboration & Professional Development:
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate ICT across subjects.
Provide guidance and support to colleagues in the use of technology in their teaching.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops as required.
Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and extracurricular activities when needed.
Safeguarding & Pastoral Care:
Ensure the welfare and safety of all students by adhering to safeguarding policies.
Provide pastoral support to students, promoting their well-being and development.
Promote digital citizenship and educate students about the ethical use of technology
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science Education, or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
Experience teaching ICT at Key Stage 2 or a similar level.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
Additional certifications in coding, robotics, or digital tools (e.g., Google Certified Educator).
Experience with integrating ICT into cross-curricular projects.
Familiarity with e-safety protocols and digital safeguarding.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 ICT curriculum and digital literacy standards.
Proficiency in coding languages and educational software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and engage young learners.
