Survey existing and prospective farmers to supply Firestone Liberia with Sustainable Natural Rubber (SNR).
• Oversee a group of farmers in all aspects of the implementation of FSLB GAP guidelines.
• Coordinate work streams with farmer groups and stakeholders on rubber tree replanting programs
• Collect socio-economic, production, and GPS data from registered farmers, to ensure that FSNR’s SNR supply chain
is transparent, traceable, and compliant to international standards
• Visit farmers to ensure monthly trainings targets are met.
• Review farmer data to analyze actual delivers against forecasts
• Collaborate with the FSLB sustainability team to identify non-compliant farmers and then determine whether noncompliant farmers can be validated through training or require de-registration from the rubber purchase database
• Work with local government and community leaders to improve the reputation and acceptance of SNR compliance
• Establish short- and long-term budgets for the individual operational areas, refine financial targets, report
expenses, and identify savings opportunities.
Requirements
• Motorbike License and capable to ride a motorbike off-road
• Excellent time management skills
• Computer literate and capable to use phone-based digital applications
• A good communicator and ability to train and monitor farmers
• Ability to live and work remotely
• Proactive and problem-solving attitude
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years of relevant experience working in an agribusiness, and with smallholder farmers.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years of relevant experience in an agribusiness, including small-holder farmer extension teams,
ideally in rubber and using a digital platform to collect production data. Knowledge of international sustainability/compliance
programs an advantage.
