Key Accountabilities:   

  • Ensure alignment with Data Governance and Regulatory Compliance standards and policies for IA.
  • Interface with and provide practical guidance relating to implementation of data governance policies and standards to business area stakeholders.
  • Investigate root causes of data quality issues and work with data owners, stewards, and technical teams to implement remediation.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, data owners, and data stewards to drive accountability for data governance within the function.
  • Coordinate the Data Governance Working Group for the function and drive and monitor approved initiatives.
  • Develop, define and consolidate reports/dashboards/visualisations for stakeholders and forums to monitor progress against data governance targets using tools like Excel and Power BI.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and feedback sessions as a representative of the IA Digital and Data Governance team.
  • Collaborate with the IA Digital and Data Governance team, internal technical and data teams, and external delivery partners.
  • Promote a data-driven culture in the function through training and engagement.
  • Support data literacy initiatives.

Continuous Learning & Development

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and methodologies.
  • Participate in internal training and mentoring to build skills in business analysis and data modelling.

Experience / Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Governance and/or Data Management
  • Proficiency in Excel and basic data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Financial services experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Results and output-orientated
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Innovative and continuous improvement mindset
  • Able to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Relevant Data Governance / Data Management training / certification

Higher Diplomas: Physical, Mathematical, Computer and Life Sciences (Required)
