Good Neighbors Kenya was established in 1995. We undertake CDPs (Community Development Projects) aimed at empowering community members for self-reliance by targeting individual children and the community as a whole. We target the vulnerable and marginalized community members both in the urban and rural parts of the country with a key focus in improving access to quality education. On the other hand, we focus on empowering the parents through Income Generation for self-reliance and in order to meet their needs for a sustainable community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct capacity building training for health workers in Kajiado County
- Communicate with Kajiado County and other stakeholders to facilitate and improve continuity of the project
- Document and report on the outcome of the capacity building training
- Support other team members
- Regular field visits to health facilities and communities for follow up purposes
- Regularly monitor and supervise operations of project activities
- Develop and prepare the report on regular monitoring regarding the operation of project activities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Required skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields including but not limited to social work and psychology from an accredited college or university
- At least 2 years working experience in related field
- Experience in research methods and conducting filed based assessments
- Experience in project management is preferred
- Experience in providing care in multicultural practice setting is preferred
- Proficient in use of computer hardware and software to document clinical care, and in use of Microsoft office applications
- Knowledge of assessment, planning, implementation and standards for care/treatment plan development
