This internship is ideal for students in engineering, construction management, or related fields who are eager to learn about large-scale project execution in a real-world environment. The Intern will assist in various aspects of pipeline construction, including progress tracking, quality control, safety monitoring, and documentation. He/She will have the opportunity to observe and contribute to day-to-day site operations, gaining exposure to fieldwork, cross-functional teamwork, and industry best practices within the oil and gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring construction activities to ensure they are progressing according to schedule and quality standards.
- Support site inspections and help prepare daily progress reports and documentation.
- Participate in safety briefings and observe safety procedures being implemented on-site.
- Help track and organize construction documents such as drawings, permits, and technical specifications.
- Assist in coordinating between contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders for smooth workflow.
- Support in documenting any issues or observations from the field and follow up on resolution status.
- Learn and apply construction and project management tools used by the EACOP Projects team.
- Participate in project and site meetings, taking minutes and assisting with action item follow-up
- Current student of a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Interest in infrastructure development, construction, and engineering project management.
- Basic knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety practices.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in field environments and adapt to dynamic construction settings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with project scheduling tools is a plus.
