Duties Brief
-
Work with study team to identify and approach potential study participants.
· Conduct the informed consent process with study participants.
· Conduct in-depth interviews (IDIs) with caregivers ensuring non-biased, consistent, complete and accurate data is collected from study participants.
· Writing contact summaries detailing stories of the study participants.
· Transcribe all interviews conducted in English and where necessary translate the interviews from the local language to English using meaning based translation.
· Participate in qualitative data synthesis and analysis following fieldwork.
· Adhere to the principles of ethical research when conducting research involving human subjects in the conduct of all study activities including maintaining confidentiality among others.
· Participate in debrief meetings with the study team on a daily basis during the data collection period and at the end of the data collection process.
Qualification Required
Required
· A bachelor’s degree in humanities including Social work, Social Science, sociology, community psychology, Development Studies or any other relevant health related field.
· Over two years’ experience collecting qualitative data through interviews.
· Valid GCP and/or HSP certificate
· Ability to communicate in Kinyarwanda and/or Runyakitara fluently.

Added Advantage
· Masters degree in humanities including Social work, Social Science, sociology, community psychology, Development Studies or any other relevant health related field.

· Experience documenting participant stories, and collecting/writing success stories and case studies.
