  • Advising partner districts on the planning and implementation of processes related to decentralized energy solutions
  • Organisation of regional workshops and forums in the three sub-regions of Acholi, Lango & West Nile to exchange information on energy coordination structures in local governments and with the Ministry of Energy and Mines
  • Organization and conception of further training measures for the partners
  • Preparation and implementation of on-site visits by partners within local administrations
  • Advice on individual enquiries, especially from partner local authorities
  • Participation in the operational planning processes within PREEEP
  • Participation in monitoring, evaluation and reporting within PREEEP; support in the preparation of communication and marketing materials
  • Close coordination with colleagues from the Energy and Climate Cluster, GIZ’s Uganda programs and other international development partners.
  • University of Applied Sciences or university degree in energy sciences, political science or a comparable qualification or particularly extensive practical experience in the field of decentralized energy solutions
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of decentralized energy
  • Experience in training/education/capacity development as well as in cooperation with government actors is an advantage
  • Interest in working in the field of refugee and migration
  • High frustration tolerance in lengthy coordination processes and tolerance of ambiguity in a complex work environment
  • Enjoy organizing and designing workshops and training courses
  • Strong communication and coordination skills as well as the ability to work in a team, while maintaining independence
  • Fluent English skills
