Responsibilities:
• Develop high-quality eLearning resources with the eLearning
Technologist(s).
• Advise staff on using technology in teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Support the Teaching, Learning, and Students team to deliver customer focused services.
• Assist staff with using the University’s digital learning environment (DLE).
• Participate in the University-wide eLearning network.
• Contribute to reports on eLearning activities.
• Engage in continuing professional development.
• Ensure compliance with University policies, including health and safety,
equality, diversity, inclusion, and information governance.
Person Specification:
Essential:
• Experience in developing learner-focused materials/activities.
• Understanding of planning, designing, developing, testing, and evaluating
eLearning resources.
• Awareness of online learning pedagogy and effective teaching practices.
• Collaborative working skills with subject matter experts and staff.
• Ability to resolve problems independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Commitment to professional development.
• Experience in eLearning projects and using learning software/web
applications.
Desirable:
• Knowledge of instructional design/pedagogy for eLearning.
• User experience/accessibility design or testing.
• Video and audio production skills.
• Experience in coding (JavaScript or other scripting languages
Required Qualifications and Experience
• The ideal applicants should possess at least Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science, or Software Engineering
• At least one (3) year experience in relevant field.
