Primary Responsibilities:
- Preparation of departmental sales and expenditure budgets
- Generate and build revenues through effective daily sales management;
- Building & developing strong strategic partnerships/relationships within the assigned market and channels;
- Ensure prompt quotation and tender documents preparation and delivery to clients/ intermediaries;
- Plan and carry out consumer education within the assigned markets and channels.
- Drive the acquisition of profitable business for the company (New and Renewal).
- Facilitate the design and development of need-based products for the assigned market.
- Ensure the delivery of an excellent customer experience to assigned clients in the market.
- Recruit, develop, and build the capacity of intermediaries/sales force in the market.
- Ensure compliance with the credit control policy.
- Liaising with the various departments to ensure timely service delivery to the clients.
- Liaising with support functions to follow up on client queries and complaints.
- Conduct market activations and storms in strategic locations with respective sales teams through visits or other means;
- Build and maintain strategic alliances for business growth with intermediaries and industry stakeholders.
- Facilitate the recruitment, training, motivation, and retention of strategic alliances for business growth with intermediaries and industry stakeholders;
- Prepare market intelligence reports on products and services.
- Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Professional Qualifications
- A diploma in Insurance, or any professional sales/marketing-related course, is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience, two (2 must have been at a supervisory level. Experience in cooperatives is an added advantage.
