We are recruiting a Mechanical / Utilities maintenance technician, who will be working directly with the maintenance team.
Key deliverables
1. Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
2. Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.
3. Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical system
4. Maintain all plant utility equipment including boilers, air compressors, chillers, clean steam generators, water purification stills, steam headers, water loops, cooling towers, DI water systems, pumps.
5. Perform all overhauls and routine maintenance while performing daily monitoring of utility systems to ensure proper operation.
6. Take readings and monitor all utility systems critical parameters and investigate and correct operating conditions out of specification.
7. Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records.
8. Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies
9. Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.
10. Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.
11. Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.
12. Collect samples and perform testing of wastewater, boiler feed water, resin bed regeneration, DM water and monitor chemical dosage.
13. Receive chemicals used for treatment of DM water plant, boiler feed water and resin bed regeneration.
14. Make sound decisions and use problem solving tools.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
· 2-3 years’ experience in Mechanical engineering with experience working with a water plant and boiler.
Personal Attributes/Competencies:
· Good Interpersonal, Organizational and communication skills.
· A strong foundation in mechanical engineering fundamentals.
· Knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting various mechanical systems in pharmaceutical production.
