The incumbent’s main responsibility is to make the television screen look presentable in terms of colour, font’s music jingles and enhance Spark TV corporate image. Exploit the existing software; to generate high impact graphics that meets the expectation of various recipient departments here at ABUL and most importantly our esteemed viewers. Update the “’pre-set” graphical templates for news and promos on a daily/weekly basis with sensitivity to set standards of ABUL house style.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creates templates and graphics for news and download to transmission for airing.
• Design and animate broadcast graphics.
• Build full graphics packages for programs and News elements.
• Ensure visual consistency with the TV station’s identity and brand guidelines.
• Working with Real-Time Graphics Systems
• Produces in-house promos and external clients commercials
• Provides station promos to keep views aware of programmes offered by the station.
• Liaises withNews producers to create graphics for new and trigger lower thirds during news and other live events
• Liaises with local programme producers to make creative programme montages and graphic segments.
• Ensures all graphic materials are accurately timed and downloaded to transmission for airing.

Qualifications and Experience:

Academic: Bachelor’s Degree in Design or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

Professional: Diploma in graphics design

Experience: 1 to 3 years working experience
