Location: Kampala, Uganda (with frequent travel to program field areas)

African Evangelistic Enterprise-Uganda (AEE-U) is seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Programs Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the coordination and quality of all our community-based development programs and ensuring the integration of word and Deed across all initiatives. The program manager is key in establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, ensuring program quality and sustainability and reporting on program progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of AEE-U’s community development programs.
- Provide technical and strategic support to Project coordinators and the PMEAL team.
- Facilitate partnerships with local churches and implement church-partnered development activities.
- Lead proposal development and ensure alignment with AEE’s vision.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on program performance and progress.
- Develop budgets and ensure programs operate within budget guidelines.
- Support spiritual formation across program teams and help ensure staff wellness and growth.
- Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with the organization and donor regulations and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Program Manager in an NGO or similar role.
- Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree would be advantageous.
- A mature Christian with demonstrated Christian character and values in both
professional and personal life.
- Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in community development programming
- Strong experience managing multi-sectoral, integrated programs and large staff teams.
