Job description

n-SiNGo Uganda – Job Opportunity

Position: Head of Training
Location: Kampala, Uganda (Field work required)
Application Deadline: 22nd August 2025
Reports To: Chief Operations Officer (COO)

About Us

At n-SiNGo Uganda, we’re building something different — a system designed for the next decade: intelligent, efficient, and community-centered.

We believe that empowering people through high-quality training is the key to sustainable growth — for individuals, for our business, and for communities. Our training function will be the engine that builds the skills, mindsets, and performance levels our network needs to succeed.

We’re looking for a Head of Training who will set gold standards in training delivery, create scalable learning systems, and chart clear career pathways for our people.

Role Overview

The Head of Training will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling training programs for staff, partners, and community stakeholders. You will ensure our people are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to deliver excellence every day.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role — you’ll be setting training policies, leading instructional design, and also facilitating sessions when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training Strategy & Development – Design and implement a comprehensive training strategy aligned to business goals.

  • Curriculum Design – Create scalable, high-quality training materials, manuals, and e-learning content.

  • Training Delivery – Facilitate sessions personally and oversee the rollout of training across multiple sites.

  • Quality Assurance – Set and monitor benchmarks for training quality, ensuring consistent learner outcomes.

  • Trainer Management – Recruit, develop, and manage a network of trainers and coaches.

  • Performance Tracking – Monitor training impact through assessments, evaluations, and KPIs.

  • Career Pathways – Develop structured career progression frameworks for different roles in the organization.

  • Innovation in Learning – Introduce modern training methods, including blended learning, digital tools, and field-based coaching.

  • Compliance & Standards – Ensure all training meets legal, safety, and industry standards.

  • Stakeholder Engagement – Work with management and partners to identify skill gaps and design targeted interventions.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Visionaries – Can see how training shapes organizational growth.

  • Disciplined Executors – Turn ideas into structured programs that deliver results.

  • Fast Learners – Adapt quickly to different content areas and operational contexts.

  • Problem-Solvers – Create solutions that work in real-world environments.

  • Collaborators – Work well with cross-functional teams to integrate training into every part of the business.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resource Development, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree an advantage).

  • 5+ years of proven experience in training program management, learning & development, or academy leadership.

  • Strong background in instructional design and adult learning methodologies.

  • Excellent facilitation and public speaking skills.

  • Ability to design systems that scale across multiple locations.

  • Proficiency in digital learning tools and platforms.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Willingness to travel regularly for field-based training.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to build a national training function from the ground up.

  • Competitive compensation and performance-based bonuses.

  • A dynamic, forward-thinking work environment.

  • The satisfaction of shaping careers and transforming communities.
