Job description

n-SiNGo Uganda – Job Opportunity

Position: AI/Analytics Lead
Location: Kampala, Uganda (Field work required)
Application Deadline: 22nd August 2025
Reports To: Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / Chief Operations Officer (COO)

About Us

At n-SiNGo Uganda, we are building something different — a system designed for the next decade: intelligent, efficient, and community-centered.

We believe data is the new fuel, and our AI/Analytics Lead will be the chief engineer of that engine — transforming raw information into insights that drive smarter decisions, sharper strategies, and stronger results.

This is not just a reporting role — you’ll design systems, run advanced analytics, and develop predictive models that shape the way we work, grow, and serve our community.

Role Overview

The AI/Analytics Lead will be responsible for developing and managing our data infrastructure, creating actionable insights, and building AI-powered solutions for operational and strategic decision-making.

From dashboard creation to machine learning models, your work will guide every part of the organization — from sales and marketing to field operations and product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Strategy & Management – Define and implement the organization’s data strategy, governance, and security protocols.

  • Data Collection & Cleaning – Build reliable pipelines for gathering, storing, and preparing structured and unstructured data.

  • Advanced Analytics – Apply statistical models, machine learning, and AI techniques to uncover trends and predict outcomes.

  • Dashboard Development – Create dynamic, user-friendly dashboards that turn complex datasets into clear insights for decision-makers.

  • Performance Optimization – Use analytics to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and identify growth opportunities.

  • Predictive Modelling – Build models for forecasting demand, optimizing operations, and enhancing customer experiences.

  • Experimentation – Design and run A/B tests, pilots, and experiments to measure the impact of initiatives.

  • Collaboration – Work with different teams (sales, operations, marketing, training) to address real-world challenges with data solutions.

  • Capacity Building – Train internal teams on data literacy and analytics tools.

  • Emerging Tech Integration – Explore and integrate new AI tools and technologies that keep us ahead of the curve.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Visionaries – See how AI and analytics can transform the organization.

  • Disciplined Executors – Deliver data-driven results on time, every time.

  • Fast Learners – Quickly master new tools, datasets, and problem domains.

  • Problem-Solvers – Use data to create practical, actionable solutions.

  • Collaborators – Share knowledge and work across functions to maximize impact.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree a plus).

  • 3–5+ years of experience in analytics, AI, or data science roles.

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and/or R (additional programming languages an advantage).

  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).

  • Understanding of predictive analytics, machine learning, and optimization techniques.

  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills — able to translate complex analytics into clear insights.

  • Comfortable with field data collection and real-world operational challenges.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to build and lead the AI and analytics function from scratch.

  • Competitive pay and performance-based incentives.

  • Access to cutting-edge tools and technologies.

  • A dynamic, mission-driven work culture where data drives decisions.
