POSITION: HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
WORK STATION: THE HEAD OFFICE
REPORTING TO: THE HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER
DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: OFFICE CLERK AND THE GENERAL SERVICE ASSISTANT
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To provide HR administrative support to the Human Resources function in AAR Uganda.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
1. Recruitment coordination
2. Management of staff records
3. Leave management
4. General HR office administration
5. Staff training facilitation
6. Staff exit clearance processes
7. Human Resource reports
8. Corporate Social Responsibility
DUTIES INCLUDE:
· Recruitment:
Ø Compiling job applications
Ø Coordinate interviews
Ø Administer the psychometric tests.
Ø Compiling new employee starter pack
· Regularly updating and maintaining employee records in an accurate and timely manner.
· Recording and updating of employees leave records
· Raising procurement requisitions for the HR department
· Coordinating exit clearance processes of exiting staff
· General filing for the both the HR & Training functions
· Receiving and distributing incoming mails for the HR department
· Logistical organization for HR meetings, HR events, training venues and materials and necessary communication.
· Maintaining and updating filing of statutory and voluntary deductions from the payroll
· Preparing HR reports
· Coordinate Corporate Social Responsibility activities.
· You will also carry out any other duties that may be assigned to you
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
1. Timely coordination of job interviews (including venue, necessary materials and candidates’ communication 3 days prior to the interview day)
2. Timely and accurate update of employees records in their personal files every week
3. Timely requisition of various departmental requests within 2 days
4. Complete updates so that all employees’ files have the necessary details according to the Starter pack checklist provided.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· Recognized University Degree
· Diploma in HR professional qualification
· I year of relevant HR experience
· ICT Competency
OTHER COMPETENCIES:
· Good interpersonal skills, excellent organization skills with a keen eye for details.
· Strong communication and ability to multi-task
· High level of initiative and creativity
· High level of confidentiality.
· Ability to work in a team.
