UYDEL is seeking qualified and compassionate Health Workers to deliver essential health
services to pregnant adolescent girls in climate-affected communities within Kampala, Uganda.
The Health Workers will support safe pregnancies, mental health, and sexual and reproductive
health through community outreach, education, and referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct community-based health education sessions on SRHR, mental health, and
climate-related health risks.
• Provide basic health screenings and support referrals to health facilities.
• Promote adolescent-friendly services and safe pregnancy practices.
• Collaborate with peer educators, social workers, and local health facilities.
• Participate in mobile outreach clinics and health campaigns.
• Document service delivery and contribute to project monitoring and reporting.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Certificate or Diploma in Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, or related field.
• Registration with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council or relevant professional
body.
• At least 2 years’ experience working with adolescents or youth in community health
settings.
• Knowledge of SRHR, mental health, and climate change impacts on health.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable Attributes:
• Empathetic and youth-friendly approach.
• Experience working in low-resource or climate-affected communities.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
