Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regional Accounts Officer to strengthen our finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring sound financial management, branch accountability, fraud detection, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations for assigned regional branches, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Monitor branch-level financial reports, cash flow, reconciliations, and transactions to identify discrepancies and potential risks.

• Lead efforts in fraud detection and prevention by implementing and enforcing strong internal controls.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure tracking across the region to ensure cost efficiency and financial sustainability.

• Provide training and guidance to branch accounting staff on financial best practices, compliance requirements, and reporting standards.

• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for management review and decision-making.

• Collaborate with auditors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure full compliance with financial regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Professional certification (CPA or ACCA) is an added advantage.

• Minimum of 3 years’ accounting/finance experience, with at least 1–2 years in microfinance, banking, or financial services.

• Strong knowledge of fraud detection, risk management, and financial control systems.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team leadership abilities.
