The key purpose of this role is to maintain, repair and optimise plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality at minimum cost whilst maintaining standards as per design.

Maintain a safe and healthy working environment

Maintain, repair and optimise plant and associated devices

• Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation/ systems
• Perform spares requisition for the job
• Plan, and prepare the job
• Execute the planned jo
• Carry out repairs/ maintenance of electrical mechanical equipment
• Continuously improve (optimise) plant, process equipment and systems
• Perform electrical installation of identified project’s work
• Operate plant and process equipment
• Perform wiring circuit interpretation of the new installation

Work in teams

• Communicate effectively in teams
• Perform coaching to the process operators
• Give/offer support to electro-mechanical teams in executing work
• Ability to be on standby call out in emergency situations

Key Attributes and Competencies:

• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC’s)
• Knowledge of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system
• Knowledge of BOTEC system

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Min – FTC (Electrical) Ideal – FTC (Electrical) or Electromechanical plus Brewing Diploma (I and II)
• Training: Min – 2-3 months on the job training plus Manufacturer Basic Maintenance Training
• Ideal – 3-6 months on the job plus Siemens S7 PLC Basic training.
• Experience: 1-2 years as an Electrician
