Role Overview

We are seeking Sales Representatives to drive growth, build strong customer relationships, and expand Backbone’s market presence across Uganda. The role requires individuals who are proactive, personable, and target-driven. While prior experience in the animal feed industry is a plus, it is not a requirement—we value energy, communication skills, and a strong drive to learn.

 

Key Responsibilities

Identify and engage potential customers, including farmers, cooperatives, agrovets, and distributors.

Promote Backbone’s range of animal feeds and build awareness about their unique benefits.

Maintain regular communication with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat sales.

Achieve monthly sales targets and support territory growth strategies.

Conduct market research and report customer feedback, competitor activities, and emerging trends.

Participate in product demonstrations, field visits, and promotional events as needed.

Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and excellent after-sales service.

 

What We’re Looking For

Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in FMCG, agriculture, or distribution environments.

Proven ability to build relationships and close sales deals.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and manage a sales territory.

Knowledge or interest in animal feeds or agribusiness is an advantage.

Fluency in English and at least one local language is required.

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Agriculture, Business, or a related field is preferred.
