To provide safe, reliable, and timely transport services for UIA staff, officials, and visitors, ensuring adherence to traffic regulations, vehicle maintenance standards, and the Authority’s operational requirements.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
A Uganda Certificate of Education with at least a Pass in English
Valid driving permit of at least Class B
WORK EXPERIENCE:
A Minimum of Two (2) years working experience in government or a reputable organization
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive UIA vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring timely transportation of staff, officials, and authorized passengers to assigned destinations.
Maintain the vehicle in good condition by performing regular checks, fueling, cleaning, and reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and organizational transport policies.
Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting office supplies, equipment, or documents as required.
Plan and follow the most efficient routes to meet schedules while considering traffic, weather, and safety conditions.
Keep accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance activities as required by UIA policies.
Support UIA staff during official functions, meetings, site visits, or other events by providing timely and professional transport services.
Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and courteous conduct when interacting with UIA staff, clients, and stakeholders.
Report any accidents, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor or relevant department.
Perform any other transport or related duties assigned by the supervisor to support the smooth functioning of UIA operations.
