Position Summary
PPDR is seeking a qualified and motivated MEAL Officer to strengthen monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems across its programmes and advocacy initiatives. The role will support evidence-based decision-making, programme quality improvement, and accountability to refugees and other stakeholders.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Design and implement MEAL frameworks, tools, indicators, and data collection systems

Conduct routine monitoring, data collection, and field assessments for programmes and advocacy activities

Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to measure programme performance and impact

Prepare timely MEAL reports, dashboards, and learning briefs for management and partners

Support baseline, midline, and end-line evaluations as required

Establish and manage feedback, complaints, and accountability mechanisms for beneficiaries

Document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories to inform learning and advocacy

Ensure data quality, confidentiality, and ethical standards are upheld

Build the capacity of programme staff on MEAL concepts and tools
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Monitoring & Evaluation, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field
-
Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in MEAL and advocacy work
-
Strong data analysis, interpretation, and reporting skills
-
Proficiency in Excel and data collection tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK, or similar platforms
-
Experience working in refugee-led, humanitarian, or development settings is an added advantage
-
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to accountability and learning

Strong communication and report-writing skills
