Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead operational execution, product delivery, and technology performance across the organization. The COO will drive operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and build scalable systems that support rapid growth.
This is a critical leadership role suited for a strong operator with deep fintech or financial services expertise who can translate strategy into action and deliver measurable results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership

Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business growth objectives

Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, reliability, and scalability

Define and track KPIs, service levels, and operational performance metrics

Lead process improvement and cost optimization initiatives
Product & Service Delivery
-
Oversee end-to-end product and service delivery to ensure timely, high-quality releases

Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and commercial teams
-
Ensure operational readiness for new products, partnerships, and market expansions
Technology & Systems Oversight
-
Provide strategic oversight of technology infrastructure and digital platforms

Ensure system reliability, security, and performance
-
Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives
Risk, Compliance & Governance
-
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and industry standards

Strengthen risk management and internal control frameworks
-
Liaise with regulators, partners, and key stakeholders
Leadership & Culture

Build and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams
-
Promote accountability, collaboration, and innovation
-
Mentor senior managers and strengthen leadership capacity
Strategic Execution

Translate company strategy into actionable operational plans

Support fundraising, partnerships, and expansion initiatives

Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, Technology, or a related field (Master’s or MBA is an added advantage)

Minimum 6+ years of leadership experience, with 3+ years in a senior operational role within fintech or financial services

Proven experience scaling operations in a high-growth environment

Strong knowledge of digital payments, fintech ecosystems, and regulatory frameworks

Experience managing technology-enabled operations and cross-functional teams

Demonstrated success in performance management and operational excellence
