Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Governance & Strategy
- Represent the affiliate in EP Data councils and meetings, ensure that its needs are addressed.
- Deliver Data Management Plan (DMP) as per company standard working with the various data representatives.
- Advise on the data subjects for all the departments –data storage and retrieval strategy, support delivery of data
- systems.
- Mentor the data focal points and engineers and IT in the affiliate to build competence and delivery capabilities.
- Implement Surface Data Platform as defined by the company strategy.
Digital & Innovation Management
- Lead the various digital initiatives and support the areas like dashboard development, visualization.
- Ensure focus by project leaders is designing for effective transformation.
- Identify and drive citizen data science initiatives across the affiliate.
- Act as a mentor for the digital and data science initiatives in the affiliate. Drive the delivery of Digital use cases.
- Develop external capabilities in the digital & innovation working closely with startups/SMEs and internal National
- content team.
- Acts as a ‘Digital & Data Translator’ within the affiliate connecting Digital possibilities with business needs.
- Support with the Data science team + Data Management teams the development of new data management concepts, on data exploitation of deep content of un-structured data systems.
- Connect with the external Digital & Data community to stay abreast of the latest trends and opportunities and communicate them effectively in the affiliate.
- Proactively mobilizes the innovation and digital affiliate networks, along with EP network, on digital technological watch and internal/external exchanges.
- Deliver Digital Solutions from TDF as per the plan.
Performance & Reporting
- Set up performance KPIs as per the business requirements.
- Ensure robust reporting of KPIs and performance for the operations.
- Ensure data quality and assurance for consistent reporting.
Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum BSc Hons Degree level in geosciences/ Engineering/Technology discipline,
- Previous experience as planner and using Primavera is mandatory
- in, At least 15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, a significant Data Management (minimum 5 years) across the E&P value chain and Digital experience, strong experience in start-ups including building the local capability and a strong ability to work in a cross functional environment, excellent communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, working transversally and able to influence various stakeholders, out of the box and innovative mindset (English mandatory, French highly appreciated).
