Primary Tasks and Responsibilities

Assess the internal and external context of the organization on an ongoing basis, including analyzing sector, industry and operational performance trends, hypotheses on key drivers and assumptions to inform corporate strategy.

2.    Assist in defining and coordinating the development of tactical plans and departmental reporting processes ensuring that they are well aligned with the corporate strategy, budget cycle, internal management processes, and external reporting expectations and foster the delivery of sustainable results across the organization.

3.    Design and execute measurement tools and quality reporting measures relating to strategic and business planning and performance measurement to assist in forecasting, developing action plans and measuring performance towards achieving desired results.

4.    Prepare reports related to corporate strategies and business plans for internal and external audiences as required on time.

5.    Provide analytical reports on budget alignment and strategic/operational plan development.

6.    Provide technical advisories to business units on the development of internal functional strategies, business process reviews as well as program and project plans when called upon.

7.    Provide technical support to the development of key sectors and national strategies.in alignment with UCC’s strategic and operational plans.

8.    Maintain flexibility to accommodate any other duties assigned by the line supervisor from time to time.

Key Performance Indicators

Comprehensive internal and external context assessments conducted.

2.          Business Analysis and performance management.

3.          Data reliability for decision-making and planning.

4.          Accurate and timely reporting

5.          Actionable insights provided in strategy alignment reports.

6.          Technical contributions to key  operational and sector and national strategies.

Education and Professional Qualifications

Master’s degree in economics, statistics, business, policy analysis, monitoring and evaluation, or a related field from a recognized university.

·           Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, business, development planning or a related field from a recognised university.

·           Membership in a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
