Impact
The job holder is responsible for ensuring that UEDCL enhances its competitive advantage by adopting international and local market trends and best practices in electricity distribution business and corporate performance to deliver sustainable value for customers, shareholders, and stakeholders.
Key Result Areas
1.
To lead long term strategy development and alignment with international and national electrification aspirations and translation into actionable insight.
2.
To coordinate staff engagements and sensitization of the corporate strategy, annual plans, and performance indicators.
3.
To guide heads of department in target setting and cascade of corporate goals across the business.
4.
To prepare monthly dashboards and communicate the same to senior management team, complete with recommendations to improve performance across the business.
5.
To coordinate the preparation of monthly business statistics and reporting to Electricity Regulatory Authority in liaison with the regulation section under Strategy department.
6.
o conduct data analysis and preparation of business cases for cross functional interventions to improve the performance of the business.
7.
To oversee assigned projects within the Strategy department and prepare respective reports to the Head of Department and Senior Management team.

To support initiatives for positive and cohesive culture forming in conjunction with Human Resource and Administration
9.
To coordinate the preparation of business continuity plans across the business in conjunction with the Information, Communication and Technology department.

To coordinate the preparation of the annual reports.

Person Specifications
Academic Qualifications
•
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance and Accounting, Strategic Management, Economics, Statistics, Law, Engineering, Human Resource Management, or related field.
•
Master’s degree or equivalent in any of the aforementioned disciplines is an added advantage.
•
Certification in strategy management frameworks like Balance Scorecard is an added advantage.
Experience
•
5 years of relevant work experience in strategy formulation, execution, and performance management), At least 3 of which should have been in middle management in big, busy, and reputable organization.
