The preschool nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of children enrolled in a preschool program. They will work closely with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that children receive appropriate medical care and support, and will provide education and resources to promote healthy habits and prevent illness and injury.
Responsibilities
- Registered nurse (RN) license in the state where the preschool is located.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Relevant experience in pediatric nursing, with experience working in a school or childcare settingĀ preferred.
- Knowledge of child health and development, and experience with health assessments, screenings, and care planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficiency in medical record keeping and documentation.
- Certification in CPR and first aid.
