The applications have been designed in response to challenges and needs the teams have faced when conducting research, TPM, evaluation, capacity assessment and development work in over 21 countries around the world. i-APS Sudan is part of i-APS’ global network of offices, with active registrations in 11 countries. Registered in July 2022, i-APS Sudan employs Sudanese staff with technical expertise and capabilities in monitoring, evaluation and learning, organizational capacity building, and third-party monitoring across humanitarian sectors. Together, we will embark on a journey of transformative growth, making a lasting difference in the lives of all those we serve (For more information about i-APS see: www.i-APS.com.) i-APS Sudan is looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to work with it for the time-limited and project-based positions for the field data collector in each of the following states: Khartoum, River Nile State, Red Sea State, North Kordofan State, West Kordofan State, State White Nile, Gezira State, Sennar State, and Blue Nile State:

Required Experience

  1. Collecting the data required, ensuring its accuracy, and taking responsibility for it. Additionally, to record and photograph every task.and complete all questionnaires, surveys, or evaluations that are required of him. And make sure that all of the operations that he or she performed are clearly archived.
  2. Complete research/survey/assessment in a specific area
  3. Review assigned fields and prepare an efficient route
  4. Travel to a designated area and conduct interviews
  5. Ensure that questionnaires have been thoroughly checked and completed
  6. As part of each assignment, participate in briefings; carry out data collection, data entry and/or reporting.
  7. explain the objectives of surveys and their procedures to people who are to be interviewed.
  8. Compile, record, and code information derived from specified forms into a predefined database
  9. Ensure that the supervisor is kept informed of completed assignments and progress.
  10. Perform any more duties given to him by his direct manager
  11. Data Sorting
  12. Data Cleaning.
  13. Presentation Deliveries and Reporting.
  14. REDCAP Tracking System.
  15. Statistical Models.
  16. Statistical Work.

Desirable Experience

  • Have at least a diploma in a field such as statistics, social sciences, economics, gender studies, agricultural sciences, mathematics, psychology or any related field (essential). Currently, enrolled undergraduate or MSc students are welcome to apply (enrolment certification to be provided, Essential).
  • Previous experience in conducting interviews and focus groups to collect data from respondents (desirable).
  • Previous experience with software for data collection such as Kobo (highly desired).
  • The candidate must be a resident of the concerned state (Essential).
