The interested candidate will be responsible for:

• Monitoring all machinery pertaining to Production for effective functionality
• Reporting any anomalies to the Maintenance Supervisor promptly to prevent downtime
• Conducting adjustments and or other repairs as instructed by the Maintenance Supervisor
• Conducting necessary tests to ensure efficient functionality of machines
• Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and healthy working environment
• Accurately documenting production activities, including machine performance, quality control checks and maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualification and skills

• Diploma in mechanical engineering and a Grade 12 school certificate.
• 4 years Experience as a Machine Operator, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven track record of operating and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient production output.
• Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in operating and troubleshooting various types of manufacturing equipment.
• Basic understanding of alcohol manufacturing processes and equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve any technical issues.
• Strong commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
