Foundation for Community and Capacity Development FOCCAD is a Malawian not for profit organization headquartered in Nkhotakota district. In order to fulfill its mandate effectively and efficiently with strategic leadership and management, an excellent and rare opportunity has risen to engage qualified individuals to fill the following exciting positions.
Under the direct supervision of the Program Operations Manager, the Program Coordinator will lead delivery of all agriculture and livelihoods activities including resilience development, working with farmer’s clubs, extension support and climate smart agriculture leadership. Cross cutting roles include managing disaster risk activities, governance in agriculture, gender and rights and support in resource mobilization.
Reporting to: Program Manager.
Qualification
The candidate should have at least:
- Degree in agriculture extension, agribusiness or any related field
- Proven knowledge in agriculture related technologies with bias on rice value chain
- Extensive knowledge in climate smart agriculture promotion
- Strong knowledge in agribusiness ventures, value chain promotion and value addition.
- Knowledge of small holder agriculture market access approaches.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all fields
- Strong planning, results management and reporting abilities.
- Strong knowledge of other computer statistical packages.
- Minimum of 5 or more years’ experience in Project Management with In-depth knowledge and understanding of integrated project planning models.
