GIZ is recruiting an Intern to support MGHP and the OHDAA project
The Intern will support MGHP with the implementation of the health information and digitalization component and the OHDAA project with general project management and technical support.
Tasks
- Support the coordination and management of digital health activities of MGHP and OHDAA.
- Organize and participate in regular meetings and workshops with the partners as well as relevant technical exchange events
- Support monitoring, reporting and knowledge management in close collaboration with headquarter and other OHDAA countries
- Support communication and collaboration with relevant partners and ministries such as Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture and animal resources, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of ICT and other relevant actors
- Support the project and partners on aspects related to conceptualizing, developing, and maintaining high quality digital solutions including interoperable information systems, data integration and exchange frameworks and information system business architecture.
- Support the project in the developing and refining the theme “One Digital Health” and facilitate partner participation in the One Digital Health Community of Practice
- Support the development of strategies, concepts, methods, and instruments to support project implementation and knowledge management
Required qualifications, competencies and experience
Qualifications
- University Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, ICT, epidemiology, Medicine, Public Health or similar
Professional experience
- Maximum of 2 years postgraduate professional experience working in digital transformation, data science or IT
- Experience in the health sector desirable
- Basic knowledge of the Malawian human health, environment or animal health systems is an asset
- Malawian citizenship
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact in complex cooperation systems with various stakeholders (including senior government officials, civil society and key population representatives, project implementers and beneficiaries)
- Organized and reliable.
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Computer literacy, especially with MS Word, Excel and with virtual meetings.
- Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed
