The Field Engineer is the coal position in the technical operations department at each field office in the country. This is the role in charge of overseeing and assisting with field installations and maintenance of productive biogas appliances.

You’ll be in charge of: 

• Designing and optimizing biogas production systems, including anaerobic digesters, gas storage systems, and gas utilization equipment compatible or in agreement with Sistema.bio
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to determine the viability and potential of complex biogas projects.
• Develop process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, and engineering calculations for biogas systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, technicians, and operators, to ensure seamless integration of biogas systems within overall operations.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and start-up of biogas systems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and specifications as per Sistema.bio
• Monitor and analyze performance data of biogas systems, identifying areas for optimization, efficiency improvement, and cost reduction.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities on biogas equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the technical operations team, troubleshooting complex technical issues and offering solutions.
• Stay updated with industry trends, research, and advancements in biogas technology, incorporating relevant knowledge into design and operational practices while following Sistema.bio standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including engineering drawings, project reports, and equipment specifications.

More about YOU 

• You must have a Bachelor’s degree preferably in agricultural engineering, environmental engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Biotechnology/Bioengineering or a related field from a recognized university/college.
• Must have experience in:
• Experience in biogas system design, installation, and optimization.
• Experience in the renewable energy or waste management industry is advantageous.
• Managing and coaching a team of growing People professionals.
• Ability to lead multiple projects, while prioritizing well and seeing the big picture.
• Clear knowledge in MS Office: Excel, Word & PPT.
• You are a people person: you have excellent interpersonal skills, you care about people and their career development, you communicate well and enjoy making people’s lives better. Thus, able to regularly interact with customers who use biogas systems and appliances or generators in order to provide guidance and support, answer queries, and offer technical assistance.
• You will often conduct various tests and performance evaluations to optimize the efficiency of biogas systems and appliances or generators.
