The IT System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Business Data management systems, hardware and software and related infrastructure as well as all Microsoft Office suites operated by the company. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards and run time is 100%. And that the IT environment conforms to the Regulatory guidelines.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES SHALL INCLUDE
- Contribute effectively to the design, implementation, and support of communications Infrastructure (LAN’s/WAN’s/VPN’s)
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintenance of computer related hardware infrastructure and operating platform.
- Carry out preventive maintenance schedules.
- Team member in the development, design and implementation of software systems engineering projects.
- Perform daily, system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as data backups.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
- Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
- Carry out regular safe disaster recovery simulations.
- Manage LifeCo Website including social media content, platform’s structure and security.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent Analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks at hand
- Self – Starter who works with minimum supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Have at least an ICT Certification or an advanced diploma in any ICT related field with bias towards software systems engineering from an accredited institution.
- At least 3 years working experience in a highly computerized environment.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of latest Microsoft office suite and server in an enterprise environment acknowledged.
