The Claims Manager shall be responsible for minimizing loss ratio by avoiding leakages whilst maintaining excellent claim service. The position will be based at Head office in Lusaka.
Main Duties will include the following;
- Handle claims in cost effective manner.
- Prompt registration of claims according to company guidelines and accurately set reserves upon receipt of notifications.
- Strictly adhere to customer service level agreements and company operational requirements.
- Keep clients regularly informed about the status of their claims ensuring transparency and timeliness.
- Resolve customer complaints timely and effectively.
- Ensure that repair costs align with repairer contracts and parts suppliers’ prices.
- Scrutinize claims thoroughly to ensure damages correspond to the circumstance of each loss.
- Participate in inspection and assessment of both motor and non-motor claims promptly.
- Maintain repairer relationships to ensure compliance with contract terms and agreed repair turnaround time.
- Ensure timely appointment of Loss Adjusters/Assessors.
- Secure and sell Salvages at reasonable prices, following policy guidelines.
- Ensure timely preparation of claims reports as required by management on weekly or monthly basis.
- Contribute to the settlement of litigation Claims within court orders.
Requirements.
Minimum Degree in Insurance & Pension Management/Risk Management/Business Administration /Economics/Accountancy or any other relevant qualifications.
- At least 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role with proven results.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Computer literate in Microsoft word and excel.
- Self-motivated.
- Customer centric.
- Reliable and can work with minimum supervision.
