The Site Agent will be responsible for the management of the construction site in order to achieve required project delivery to the client’s expectations, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control. The post-holder will work closely with the Client’s representative, Project Manager, and Surveyors to ensure that projects are completed in a safe manner whilst making sure that clients’ requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.
Responsibilities
Oversee onsite activities and ensure construction works are organized, and workers have the required resources.
Ensure that works are completed within the scheduled time and budget and to come up with cost-effective solutions for construction projects.
Develop procurement plans and timely management of purchasing of materials
Supervise and monitor quality of works and ensure that they are completed on time
Act as a liaison officer between the project consultant and the contractor
Ensure timely submission of documentation to consultant e.g., site diaries and project reports
Prepare and submit lab test result, insitu test results to the consultant on time.
Prepare project work plans, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
Making sure that all the safety and health guidelines are adhered to.
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture from a recognized institution
Those with Diploma must have a minimum of 10 years while with degree must have a minimum of 5 years work experience in building works
Must be a member of relevant professional body
Excellent communicator both written and oral
Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project and Drafting software
Must be a team player
Able to work independently
Diligent with great attention to detail
Numerical orientation
Must possess analytical skills
