The foremen will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of construction workers on a construction site. S/he must ensure that the work is completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards and the foreman will be also responsible for coordinating material deliveries, communicating with the Site agent and other stakeholders, supervises safe equipment use, and manages any issues that may arise.
Duties and responsibilities

Prepare daily, weekly and monthly work schedules

Assign tasks to workers

Supervise construction work and workers

Resolve disputes amongst workers

Monitor progress on the project

Ensure project stays within budget

Serve as a liaison between workers and supervisors
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
-
NCIC Certificate in Foremanship Level II or Construction Technology Grade 1 or Diploma in Civil Engineering
-
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in building projects

Excellent verbal and written communication ability
-
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
-
Time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

Ability to understand drawings and blueprints

Expert knowledge of the construction industry
