1.1. Qualifications:
Experience in Civil Material Testing Laboratory minimum 3 years. Diploma or bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
Strong math skills would be advantageous as sampling and testing can involve some brainpower.
Accurate and consistent record keeping is required.
Basic computer skills are necessary to document daily activities.
Capability of effectively working with project team members.
Ability to work on multiple projects/deadlines.
1.2. Responsibilities:
Performing routine field and/or laboratory tests.
Responsible for the field compaction testing, sampling and observation of soils, aggregate and asphalt.
Performing concrete, grout, and masonry quality control tests through sampling and visual observation, performing slump, air, unit weight and temperature tests as well
as cast specimens for compressive strength.
Sampling of asphalt cores to verify thickness, density, and percentage air voids.
Daily communication with project representatives, agency representatives, other technicians and project managers.
Complete accurate and detailed field testing reports and/or diagrams
