Job description

  • We are seeking an experienced Wholesale Pharmacist to oversee the daily operations of PEPHLA Wholesale Pharmacy, to drive sales and revenue growth through improving markets, identifying growth opportunities, and building strong relationships with customers, healthcare professionals, facilities, medical institutions, and key stakeholders to achieve the company’s targets.
  • The post holder shall be reporting to the manager and CEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • To drive sales and revenue growth, identifying growth opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, healthcare professionals, facilities, medical institutions, and key stakeholders by providing guidance and support to achieve sales targets.
  • Oversee inventory levels, stock rotation, and product storage to minimize discrepancies, avoid shortages, and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Coordinate imports with logistics partners, negotiate contracts, and optimize transportation and distribution processes to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Lead and mentor staff (where applicable), set performance objectives, and provide guidance.
  • To implement and maintain quality control procedures to uphold product integrity, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, implement best practices, and streamline operations to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Liaise with others such as sales, procurement, and the manager to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of operations with overall business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 4.0 (B) in B.Pharm, Pharma Logistics, Pharma Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Must have proven post-NYSC working experience (3+ years) in wholesale or distribution within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Must be registered with the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria with a current practising license.
  • Substantial wholesale operations, inventory, logistics, supply chain, and importation knowledge
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with motivation and integrity.
  • Must be proficient in relevant software and systems (e.g., inventory management).
  • Must understand the regulatory requirements and quality standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
