- Sets deadlines in ways that comply with department’s plans and communicate them to subordinates.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures maximum fleet efficiency and effectiveness through planned resource allocation and maintenance.
- Ensures the monthly vehicle utilization report is produced with full analysis of monthly maintenance cost, fuel consumption, and accident report.
- Oversees transport service provision programs based on the service need of various work units.
- Oversees the development and implementation of vehicle management and maintenance program.
- Ensures that all company vehicles are insured, and the insurance is current and renewed.
- Oversees preventive and corrective maintenance program of vehicles.
- Ensures that the annual technical inspection of vehicles and trucks is performed on time.
- Identifies logistical bottlenecks and proposes and the ways to fill the gaps and ensure proper distribution mechanism is put in place.
- Directs the assignment and supervision of drivers in the provision of transport services.
- Oversees fuel consumptions and other costs associated with the provision of transport services.
- Interfaces with Managers to evaluate alternative supply networks that optimize cost and service objectives while considering changes in business and customer profiles; provides transportation expertise to these initiatives.
- Collaborates with customs clearance team for the freight forward tasks.
- Develops effective relationships with internal customers (i.e., sales, procurement, finance etc.).
- Ensures that fleet capital investments yield a favorable return; manages appropriate spare ratios and asset disposal.
- Evaluates the transport service provision to different work units and takes appropriate corrective actions when required.
- Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

EDUCATION
Qualification and Skills
- BA or MA in Transport Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Management, or related fields.
SKILLS
Experience:
- 8 years for BA
- 6 years for MA

- Knowledge of transport regulations.
