- To provide relevant strategy planning, budgeting, and other important inputs that guide operational departments in the development of their work plans and helps senior management decision-making processes that feed into overall strategy development.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Scans the environment to assess emerging trends, issues, and risks from a longer-term time perspective concerning the strategy development.
- Assists the Manager in facilitating strategy development, annual plan, methods, and techniques of strategic planning and continuous improvement.
- Coordinates the development, review, prioritization and cascading of key performance indicators (KPIs) and process metrics by facilitating workshops and compiling and sharing workshop results in the form of reports.
- Develops different possible scenarios for the mitigation of possible risks and provides recommendations for the management of these scenarios.
- Plays a leading role in the process of distilling the strategy into yearly business plans and strategic initiatives.
- Communicates group’s strategy to team members and concerned stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Keeps track of trends as they relate to the company’s external environment and proposes initiatives to enhance competitive positioning.
- Provides, as requested, up to date research on the environment and business trends and keeps up to date on new ways of doing strategic planning itself.
- Assists in the development of annual budget for work units by providing sufficient information on the group’s strategy and operational plans.
- Consolidates and prepares annual plan/budget and submit to the manager for review and approval.
- Represents the department as requested at institutional reforms and initiatives.
- Monitors budget transfer activity throughout the year by ensuring proper documentation and reporting analysis.
- Provides advice and technical assistance with planning, fiscal allocation, and budgeting.
- Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

EDUCATION
Qualification and Skills
- BA or MA in Strategy Management/Business Administration/Management/ Public Administration and Development Management or related fields
SKILLS
Experience:
- 5 years for BA
- 3 years for MA
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to provide advice, assistance, and coaching on Strategy related matters.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate budgets and financial models.
