Job description

To be coached in Components rebuild, commissioning and root cause of failure analysis of Epiroc products from Customer Sites to the Workshop.

What are the main tasks and responsibilities of this job?  

  • To be coached in Components rebuild work including planned equipments overhaul service or repairs on Epiroc equipments at the workshop.
  • To be guided to market and promote Components Rebuild or service works and other aftermarket services and products to customers to support business growth of the Parts and Service Division.
  • To assist with sub assembly repairs and machine rebuilds in the workshop when required.
  • To assist with the process of Strip, quote and repair/overhaul components from clients when required.
  • To be assisted to take responsibility for the safe storage and maintenance of the company’s tools and equipment in your care.
  • To learn Skills from senior technical personnel whiles on the job working.
  • To support senior Technical Team mates in Warranty Repairs and Claim Processing.
  • To produce and maintain accurate records of client’s maintenance activities whiles at the workshop
  • To participate in the ongoing Productivity and efficiency improvement projects with Epiroc working environment
  • To be assisted by Epiroc and Customer Planners with stock keeping and stock level management
  • To have a safety-first mindset and to always act responsibly with safety and that of colleagues
  • To understudy Epiroc senior technicians on total Epiroc Product support regarding Maintenance and Performance functions.
  • To be Trained and coached in pre-use and post-use inspection of Components and performance analysis
  • To understudy Epiroc senior technicians in Pre-delivery service, some in workshop and on customer site.
  • To learn skills for Components rebuild – Mainly, but not limited to drifters, rotation units and rotary  heads

Competences, skills and experience

  • Knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures and protocols, and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Certification in TL1 and TL2 is an essential requirement
  • Minimum of 1year experience in component rebuilds
  • Knowledge in Microsoft excel
