Job description

Our Client in the energy sector is looking to hire a procurement Intern who will be tasked with supporting the procurement team in optimizing our supply chain and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Cleanup:

  • Mirroring suppliers’ details in GEHL to REK. (Names, bank details etc., contacts, emails.)
  • De-activate all suppliers who haven’t traded for the past 3 years.
  • Ensure that all suppliers are KYS compliant.
  • Update all missing supplier documentation in Oracle. e.g. missing KYS forms, PIN details, Bank details etc.
  • Ensure the contract folder is up to date and terms of payment are maintained, start and end dates of contracts are indicated for monitoring of SLA purposes.
  • Ensure that accurate payment terms are captured for all existing suppliers. The payment terms must be as per executed contracts.
  • Generate and prepare aging reports for all suppliers in Oracle (Both GEHL and REK).

L-supplier:

  • Assist in collating I-supplier & and I-Procurement information for supplier onboarding and creation purposes.
  • Liaise with Procurement Account managers in the supplier Categorization process.
  • Ensure existing suppliers are accurately created in Oracle as per Category type.
  • Generate reports from Oracle that mirror defined categories.
  • Ensure accurate item code description for all goods/services procured.
  • Assist in tendering and assets disposal process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Procurement & Supply Chain Management.
  • A minimum of 1 -3 years of experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
