We are currently recruiting for a Group Transport Manager to join our successful and expanding company. As the Group Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation operations of our organization on a national scale. Your main objective will be to ensure the efficient and safe transportation of goods and services, while also driving cost savings and implementing process improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the transportation operations for the entire company, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation.
– Develop and implement transportation strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
– Monitor and analyze transportation data and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods and services.
– Manage relationships with external transportation partners, negotiating contracts and resolving issues as necessary.
– Provide leadership and guidance to a team of transport coordinators and drivers, ensuring they are trained and developed to deliver exceptional performance.
– Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and proactively identify new technologies and solutions to enhance our transportation operations.

Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience as a Transport Manager or similar role, preferably within a group or multi-site environment.
– Strong understanding of transportation regulations, compliance, and best practices.
– Excellent knowledge of transportation systems, software, and technologies.
– Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
– 5 years of experience within the similar role
– Strong leadership and people management skills.
